To correctly change the nozzle of your 3d printer you must heat the Hotend to 200 \u00b0C, remove the filament you have completely and then with a Wrench and a 6 mm tube unscrew the hot nozzle. Now you can screw on the new nozzle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

what tools to use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Usually when you buy your 3D printer, it comes from the factory with a small key that is just to change the nozzle, at least that's the way it is with Creality printers, but this tool is usually very thin, and what it does is mark the nozzle and in sometimes until it breaks. I do not recommend using it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, you will do it with your own tools<\/strong>, to safely remove the nozzle and avoid costly mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need at least 3 tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. English or French key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Wrench Wrench with 6 mm tube (for mk8 nozzles) or larger if the nozzle is larger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Cutting pliers (they can be the ones that come with the printers).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Preheat the mouthpiece.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Remove the filament if you have it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Remove the casing with the fans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Unscrew the nozzle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Take out and clean the mouthpiece.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Put on the new mouthpiece and adjust it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Assemble everything.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Preheat the nozzle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      You must heat the nozzle to 200 \u00b0C, whether or not you have filament in the printer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This is necessary to either remove whatever filament you have, or to unscrew the nozzle while hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the menu of your 3D printer choose a temperature of 200 \u00b0C for a PLA filament or 230 \u00b0C for a Petg filament.<\/p>\n\n\n

      2. Remove the filament if you have it.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Once the nozzle has reached 200\u00b0C you will need to remove the filament completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This is necessary to prevent the filament from continuing to ooze out when the nozzle is removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Remember to cut the tip with the pliers and leave it ready to use again.<\/p>\n\n\n

      3. Remove the casing with the fans<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      In the case of ender 3 and similar printers, No<\/strong> it will be possible to fit the wrench unless you remove the fan casing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You can avoid this option only when you have already gained experience and know how to control your own strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      4. Unscrew the nozzle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      To unscrew the nozzle without breaking the Hotend, you will need to use the Wrench to hold the aluminum block while you unscrew the nozzle with the Tube Wrench. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For that, before you are going to remove the silicone cap if you have it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Position the wrench so that it can hold the heating block to prevent it from turning when you remove the nozzle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Now use a socket wrench to unscrew the nozzle.<\/p>\n\n\n

      5. Remove and clean the nozzle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Once you've unscrewed the nozzle, I recommend you clean it by removing the plastic remains with the pliers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Now wait for it to cool down before putting it back in its storage place (Only if you are going to reuse it).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you're not going to reuse it, throw it away right away so it doesn't get mixed up with the newer nozzles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Another option may be to store it in a closed container to be able to clean the nozzle<\/a> at another time.<\/p>\n\n\n

      6. Fit the new nozzle and adjust it<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      With at least a couple of laps you will be able to use the ratchet to adjust the nozzle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Remember that whenever you do this process you must use the wrench, so that the aluminum block does not break (unless you are an advanced user and know how to control your strength).<\/p>\n\n\n

      7. Assemble everything<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Assemble everything as it was and you are done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Put the silicone back on the heating block and put the extruder housing back on with its fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Tighten the necessary screws.<\/p>\n\n\n
